The Mind

To the staunch Dust we safe commit thee

by Emily Dickinson 1830–1886

From The Single Hound (1914)

The Mind

To the staunch Dust we safe commit thee;
Tongue if it hath, inviolate to thee—
Silence denote and Sanctity enforce thee,
Passenger of Infinity!
