Living

I Had a Little Scotchman

by Mary Mapes Dodge 1831–1905

From Rhymes and Jingles (1875)

Living

I had a little Scotchman,
Who reached to my chin;
He was swift as an arrow,
And neat as a pin.

He ran on my errands,
And sang me a song;
Oh, he was as happy
As summer is long!
