Four Little Piggies Bound for a Frolic

by Mary Mapes Dodge 1831–1905

From Rhymes and Jingles (1875)

Living

Four little piggies, bound for a frolic,
Ate green apples till one got the colic.
One was so greedy he stuffed his maw;
One munched so hard that he cracked his jaw.
One had the toothache and couldn't chew a bit,
So he swallowed them whole and died in a fit.
