Living

Never a Night So Dark and Drear

by Mary Mapes Dodge 1831–1905

From Rhymes and Jingles (1875)

Living

Never a night so dark and drear,
Never a cruel wind so chill,
But loving hearts can make it clear,
And find some comfort in it still.
