Social Commentaries

Rich cleopatra striving to outvie
In luxuries excess Mark Anthonie,
A Pearl in value worth three hundred crown
Dissolv'd in vinegar first did swallow down
At one proud draught; and but prevented wu'd
At the next draught have swallowed one as good.
Oh monstrous stomack that could in one houre
Consume an Empire, and a State devoure?
