Death & Dying
An Epitaph on a scold.
From The Muses Melody in a Consort of Poetrie ([1680?])
Death & Dying
HEre lyes, in dust, a married man's great wo,
A nimble Linguist, or a quick-tongu'd shrew.
Now she is dead, and dust to dust is flung;
The earth holds her that ne'r could hold her tongue.
