Love
The Message
Translated by Frank C. Nicholson (1907) · From Old German Love Songs (1907)
Love
"Dear love, of what sore sorrow wilt thou now warn me?
The day of our parting may I ne'er live to see!
If thou shalt cease to love me,
I shall let all folk near me see full clearly then
That no joy whatsoever I find in all other men."
