Love
Departure
Translated by Frank C. Nicholson (1907) · From Old German Love Songs (1907)
Love
Now bring me quick my charger and coat of mail to hand,
Since all for a lady I must leave the land.
She would fain constrain me my love to her to give;
Love of mine she never shall get, as long as she doth live.
