Death & Dying
Omnes Eodem
Translated by Herbert A. Giles (1898) · From Chinese Poetry in English Verse (1898)
Death & Dying
A centenarian 'mongst men
Is rare; and if one comes, what then?
The mightiest heroes of the past
Upon the hillside sleep at last.
