Joy is Here

by Freeman E. Miller 1864–1951

From Oklahoma Sunshine (1905)

Living

What to us is Trouble?
Joy is here today;
Care is but a bubble
Bursting with the May.

Onward we are drifting;
What if skies are gray?
All the clouds are lifting,--
Joy is here today!

Harbors over yonder;
Billows die away;
There we all shall anchor,--
Joy for aye and aye!
