Freeman E. Miller
Freeman E. Miller (1864–1951) was an American poet and teacher. The title page of his first book, Oklahoma and Other Poems (Buffalo: Charles Wells Moulton, 1895), names him as Professor of English Language and Literature in the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Oklahoma Territory, and he dedicated the book to James Whitcomb Riley.
Oklahoma Sunshine (Stillwater: Advance Printing Company, 1905) gathers a year of the column of verse and prose he published in The Stillwater Advance from June 1904, much of it in homely farm and small-town dialect. This archive holds the verse of both books; the prose paragraphs of the second are left out.
