Book II, 99: On a Flye
From Divine Fancies (1633), Book II
Religion
The Sun-delighting Flye repayres, at first
To the full Cup, onely to quench her thirst;
But, oftentimes, she sports about the Brinke,
And sipps so long till she be drownd in drinke:
When wanton leysure shall present thine eye
With lavish Cups, Remember but the Flye.
