Book III, 6: On AMBIDEXTER
From Divine Fancies (1633), Book III
Religion
God keepe my Goods, my Name, they never fall
Into the Net of Ambidexters Lawes;
But, for a Cause, he seldome prayes at all;
But curses, evermore, without a Cause:
I'de rather have his Curses, all the day,
Then give his Conscience the least cause to pray.
