Living

In the wild grove we wander'd

by Joseph Skipsey 1832–1903

From The Poets and the Poetry of the Century, ed. Alfred H. Miles

Living

In the wild grove we wander'd.
And gay garlands made.
When ill-wise wc ponder'd
On words in jest said.
And words, in jest spoken.
The garlands we wove.
And our two hearts had broken
Ere we left the grove.
