The Hypocrite: II

by Tukaram 1608–1649

Translated by Nicol Macnicol (1919) · From Psalms of Maratha Saints (1919)

Religion

No saints are they, nor trace of God they bear.

They tell of omens to a gaping crowd.
Rogues are they, Tuka says; Govind's not there.
