Fain would I, Lord, from earth remove,
Made meet before Thy face to' appear;
But tell me first Thy name is love.
But show me all Thy goodness here:
Borne on the wings of faith and hope,
I then shall to the mountain fly.
And yield my raptured spirit up.
And fainting on Thy bosom die.
