Judges 6:31: Will ye plead for Baal?
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 9 (1870)
Religion
Will ye plead for sinning on,
For Satan's service plead?
Rather throw his altar down,
And on his worship tread:
Us that he may never more
As advocates for sin employ,
Jesus, come, o'erturn his power,
And all his works destroy.
