Psalm: Jesus, Thy loving Spirit alone

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 9 (1870)

Religion

Jesus, Thy loving Spirit alone
Can lead me forth, and make me free,
Burst every bond through which I groan.
And set my heart at liberty:
Now let Thy Spirit bring me in,
And give Thy servant to possess
The land of rest from inbred sin.
The land of perfect righteousness.
