Proverbs 4:18: Shall we mistake the morning-ray

Shall we mistake the morning-ray
Of grace for the full blaze of day?
Or humbly walk in Jesu's sight,
Glad to receive the gradual light,
More of His grace and more to know,
In faith and in experience grow,
Till all the life of Christ we prove,
And lose ourselves in perfect love!
