Ezekiel 36:26: I will take away the stony heart, &c
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 10 (1871)
Religion
Can God remove the stone within.
Myself out of myself remove,
And make me sensible of sin.
And make me sensible of love?
Omnipotent, my Saviour can,
All-gracious, Thou art willing too,
To change the stubborn heart of man,
To form even me a creature new.
