Matthew 15:19: Man, fallen man conceals within

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 10 (1871)

Religion

Man, fallen man conceals within
The principles of every sin;
But virtuous seed of every kind
We in the heart of Jesus find:
Jesus my evil heart remove.
Cleansed by Thy own imparted love;
And to preserve my purity.
Reside with all Thy grace in me.
