Mark 14:3: Commendable excess

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 11 (1871)

Religion

Commendable excess
Of generous faith and love!
O could I thus my zeal express.
My gratitude approve;
Pour out the precious balm
And rendering Him His own,
Whate'er I have, whate'er I am,
Expend on Christ alone.
