Mark 16:17: They shall speak with new tongues

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 11 (1871)

Religion

While in faithful hearts we bear
Thy name invincible,
We its energy declare,
And all its wonders tell,
Speak a language new and pure,
The language of celestial love,
Speak with tongues which shall endure
And sing Thy praise above.
