Luke 23:33: He dies— a death of pain and shame

Religion

He dies— a death of pain and shame.
To the vile death of slaves submits,
And thus the humble patient Lamb
His own great sacrifice completes!
The universal sin He bears,
Conquers the world, and death, and hell,
And balm in His own blood prepares
The wounds of all mankind to heal.
