Luke 24:39: Open mine eyes of faith to see

Religion

Open mine eyes of faith to see
Thy hands and feet transfix'd and torn.
So shall I know that Thou art He
Who liast my sins and sorrows borne,
The Man that on the mountain bled,
And rose my Surety from the dead.

O could I now behold my Lord,
Discern and touch the Crucified,
Adore the true immortal Word,
And thrust my hand into Thy side.
And feel that Thou my Saviour art;
Whose blood is sprinkled on my heart!
