John: Let us to the mount retreat
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 11 (1871)
Religion
Let us to the mount retreat,
And rest with Christ awhile,
Rest from persecution's heat.
And evangeUc toil;
Patient grace by prayer obtain
For labouring on with strength renew'd,
Then go forth to fight again,
And work the works of God.
