John 20:2: A soul who hath the Saviour known

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

Religion

A soul who hath the Saviour known,
And seen Him bleeding on the cross,
When Christ out of his sight is gone,
Most sensibly resents the loss,
He weeps disconsolate and sighs,
And tells to Jesus' friends his pain.
And restless every means he tries
To find his muchdoved Lord again.
