In Abraham our God we find
Father of Christ and all mankind,
Whose love deliver'd up His Son
The Victim dear in Isaac shown;
Jacob presents in figure true
The Third proceeding from the Two,
Jacob whose wresthng spirit of grace
Gives birth to all the chosen race.
