Nature

Willow Flowers

by Yüan Mei 18th century AD

Translated by L. Cranmer-Byng (1916) · From A Feast of Lanterns (1916)

Nature

O willow flowers like flakes of snow,
Where do your wandering legions go?
Little we care, and less we know!
Our ways are the ways of the wind;
Our life in the whirl, and death in the drifts below.
