Hazel Hall
Hazel Hall (1886–1924) was a Portland, Oregon poet who was confined to a wheelchair from childhood and earned her living as a needlewoman. Her poems draw on the window, the street sounds and the sewing that made up her days.
Her books were Curtains (John Lane, 1921), Walkers (1923) and the posthumous Cry of Time (1928). The poems here are those of Curtains, in its three parts: Curtains, Needlework and Spring from a Window.
