Li Shih-chih

Li Shih-chih, who died in AD 747, was a minister of the T’ang dynasty and a friend of Li Po and Tu Fu. His poem here is on leaving office.

The poems here are Herbert A. Giles’s versions in Chinese Poetry in English Verse (1898), given with the poet’s name as spelled in that book.
