Tsang Chih

6th century AD

Tsang Chih lived in the sixth century. Waley prints a single four-line song of his, in the voice of a girl growing up under the walls of a castle.

The poems here are Arthur Waley’s version in A Hundred and Seventy Chinese Poems (1918), given with the poet’s name as spelled in those books.
