The Palice of Honour
Compylit be M. Gawine Dowglas, Bischop of Dunkeld
Douglas's dream-vision of 1501, dedicated to James IV: a poet, condemned by Venus's court for slandering love, is pardoned at the intercession of Calliope and led by the Muses to the Palace of Honour, where Venus, the poets and the exemplary dead of history pass before him.
