Nature
What the Old Crow Said
Translated by Isaac Taylor Headland (1900) · From Chinese Mother Goose Rhymes (1900)
Nature
An old black crow sat on a tree,
And there he sat and said to me:
"Ho, Mr. Wang, there's a sheep on the hill,
Which I wish very much you would catch and kill;
You may eat meat three times a day,
And I'll eat the parts that you throw away."
