A Harley love-song with a wind-borne refrain, ‘Blou northerne wynd! Send thou me my suetyng!’, praising a maiden in a string of jewel-comparisons — coral, ruby, crystal, lily — and begging the north wind to bring her to him. Text from Quiller-Couch’s Oxford Book of English Verse (1900).
