A generall benefit
From Two Bookes of Epigrammes, and Epitaphs (1639), Book II
Social Commentaries
Moses prescrib'd, that holy fumes should be
Temper'd and mixt in equall quantity:
Whereby in a sweet sence is understood,
That equally we share the Soveraigne blood
Of Christ, that doth the beggers soule refine
Pure as the Kings, whose gold-girt temples shine.
