by Thomas Bastard 1565/6–1618

From Chrestoleros (1598), Book 6

Love

Loue, the sweete band of thy desired reigne,
From thine owne heart, is so shedd into many.
As owd'e of all, can not be payde of any.
Least all in one vnited should contayne.
Such loue in such an heart as nere was any.
Which would to loue thee, yet wish it selfe many.
