Living

There Was a Fine Youth of Pike's Peak

by Mary Mapes Dodge 1831–1905

From Rhymes and Jingles (1875)

Living

There was a fine youth of Pike's Peak
Who raised a moustache in a week.
When they called it "like down,"
Ah, how he would frown!--
This hairy young man of Pike's Peak.
