Love

Love, resolv'd my heart to wound,
Youth nor beauty made his choice;
But his arrows wing'd with sound,
And struck me with Cecilia's voice,

Echo thus made Pan of yore
Amorous of the vocal wind.
Silence, oh, my peace restore;
Or make me deaf as Love is blind.
