Living

Grief Is Unquiet, and No Less

by Walter Savage Landor 1775–1864

From Works and Life, ed. Forster, vol. VIII (1876)

Living

Grief is unquiet, and no less
Unquiet is man's happiness.
Change is for ever what he wants;
Dead is the heart that never pants.
