Religion
Want You a Man
From Songs from the Waverley Novels (Poetical Works, Oxford 1904)
Religion
WANT you a man
Experienced in the world and its affairs ?
Here he is for your purpose. He's a monk :
He hath forsworn the world and all its work,
The rather that he knows it passing well, --
'Special the worst of it, for he 's a monk.
