Social Commentaries

My heart exults, the lively call obeying,
When the shrill merry pipes are sweetly playing ;
With these to chaunt aloud or to recite,
To carol and carouse, is my delight:
Or in a stedfast tone, bolder and higher,
To temper with a touch the manly lyre.
