Living

Riddle 24

by Carolyn Wells 1862–1942

From At the Sign of the Sphinx (Second Series)

Living

My first is made of clay
And holds a growing palm;
My second brings a day
When all the air seems balm;
My whole is quite a clever feat
Performed by many a young athlete.
