The Re-echo Club: as by John Keats

by Carolyn Wells 1862–1942

From The Re-echo Club

Living

A cow of purple is a joy forever.
Its loveliness increases. I have never
Seen this phenomenon. Yet ever keep
A brave lookout; lest I should be asleep
When she comes by. For, though I would not be one,
I've oft imagined 'twould be joy to see one.

A parody by Carolyn Wells, written in the manner of John Keats as a contribution to the imagined Re-Echo Club (Purple Cow).
