The Re-echo Club: as by Robert Browning (Purple Cow)

by Carolyn Wells 1862–1942

From The Re-echo Club

Living

All that I know
Of a certain Cow
Is it can throw,
Somewhere, somehow,
Now a dart of red,
Now a dart of blue
(That makes purple, 'tis said).
I would fain see, too,
This Cow that darkles the red and the blue!

A parody by Carolyn Wells, written in the manner of Robert Browning as a contribution to the imagined Re-Echo Club (Purple Cow).
