Religion
Acts 23:29: Candid and honourable men
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 12 (1872)
Religion
Candid and honourable men
Who would the injured right,
The law Divine, the world unseen,
The things eternal slight;
As free from all religious zeal,
And superstitious cares,
As life or death, as heaven or hell,
Were no concern of theirs.
