Nature
The Shower
Translated by John Bowring (1830) · From Poetry of the Magyars (1830)
Nature
The pent-house drops raindrops after the shower;
And does thy heart spring up to mine,
Spring up to mine?
No rain falls down, no storm-clouds lower,
But my sheep-skin is wetted through and through;
Wet within, and without with dew.
