Famous Cities XI. — Seville. XII. — Cordova. XIII. — Tarragona. XIV. — Braga
Translated by Hugh G. Evelyn-White (1919–21) · From Book XI. — The Order of Famous Cities
After these thou shalt be told, beloved Hispalis, name Iberian, by whom glides a river like the sea, to whom all Spain subjects her magistrates. Not Cordova, not Tarragona with its strong citadel contends with you, nor wealthy Braga, lying proudly in her bay beside the sea.
This translation is printed as prose in its source edition.
