Macedonius the Consul
Macedonius, called the Consul, was a Byzantine epigrammatist of the sixth century and a friend of Agathias and Paul the Silentiary; the title consul in his case was honorary.
The epigrams here are those that Paton's first volume ascribes to him, chiefly in Book V.
