The Twin Brothers
Translated by Henry Thomas Riley (1852)
A comedy of mistaken identity: one twin, carried off as a child to Epidamnus, is mistaken for the other, who has come in search of him, so that a courtesan, a parasite, a wife and a father-in-law all take the stranger for the man they know. It was the source of Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.
